New Summer Film Camp at RCC

Ramapo, NY – For students entering grades 9 and above, there is a very special new Summer Film Camp at Rockland Community College!

Lawrence Saint Victor, a Spring Valley native and 2000 graduate of RCC is a well known professional actor, especially for his portrayal of Remy Boudreau on TV’s Guiding Light. Together with his wife, actress/singer Shay Saint Victor, they run a film company, SV Productions, and are also the executive producers of a new Web series about the joys and pains of the first years of marriage. Their SV Productions short film, The Forgiven, was recently screened at the Big Apple Film Festival & Urban World Film Festival.

This summer, the Saint Victors and SV Productions are teaming up to run RCC’s Summer Film Camp. Professional actors and filmmakers will be teaching their art and their skills to campers; including screenwriting, acting, directing, producing, and cinematography. The camp will culminate in an exciting opening night screening for family and friends!

For four weeks this summer, from June 27 to July 24, M-F from 8 am to 3 pm, campers will get to write, produce, direct, and edit their very own mini short films, working alongside professional actors and filmmakers.
