The Haverstraw Police Department is advising residents of voluntary evacuation for the residents of Anthony J. Morina Drive and Fountainhead Mobile Home Park due to the impending rain and winds related to Hurricane Irene. We are asking that all residents and businesses begin a voluntary evacuation of the area, as a mandatory evacuation order is probable for your area, during the storm.
The North Rockland High School and the Rockland Community Field House will be opened as shelters effective 7:00 p.m. The Rockland Community College shelter is the only pet friendly facility.
Please consider staying with a friend or relative in a safe location as an alternative to the shelter.
