Community Event to Support Suffern and Ramapo Central Students
SUFFERN, NY Suffern Rotary Club and The Village of Suffern will host a breakfast this Sunday, April 15th in the George J. Parness Community Center. All are invited to enjoy pancakes, eggs, and more from 9AM to noon. The cost is $7/adult, $2/child (5 and under) and $5/senior citizen or children 6-16 years old. Proceeds go to support Suffern community projects, such as “Operation Warm” winter coats and English/Bilingual dictionaries for all Ramapo Central students.
This jointly hosted event is entitled “Many Happy Returns” as it falls two days prior to the April 17th, 2012 deadline for taxes. Along with Suffern Rotarians, Suffern High School Rotary Interact members will serve the meal, while special music is played by Suffern Middle School students. Special musical guests include Suffern Rotary President, John Shepitka on guitar.
Founded in 1927, the Suffern Rotary Club has a long history of supporting the community with good works and fundraising. Their intention is “Service Above Self” with a focus on local small business, education and fellow nonprofits, while still giving generously of their time and finances to back international initiatives. The club meets every Thursday at 12:15PM at Marcello’s.
